About
Le Manoir de Valentine is a beautiful, rambling French house at the edge of the village of Valentine (yes, really) near the foothills of the Pyrenees. The house has everything you might need internally as well as a sizeable garden including, most importantly, a large private pool.
We rent the house out as a whole so you're assured of privacy: it's a generous space, laid out so you can share and enjoy time with a group of friends or family... while still having your own space.
The house is located about an hour from Toulouse Blagnac airport and within 1.5 hours of further aiports at Carcassonne and Tarbes-Lourdes. It's just over 2 hours from the house to both the Atlantic and Meditarranean oceans and, should you fancy a quick jaunt to Spain for a tapas lunch, about 40 minutes to the Spanish border.
WhAt does the house offer?
Le Manoir can comfortably sleep up to 12 people - there are 3 doubles with ensuite bathrooms and 2 with triple beds.
2 spacious living rooms - a family room (with TV, DVD player and a selection of games) and a library/drawing room.
Large, fully-equipped country kitchen with dining table to seat up to 14.
Terrace with table for outdoor dining.
1 lovely pool with sun loungers, parasol, raised decking and shaded dining area
2 garden spaces (including an area to play 'boules' in the evening!)
Also featuring: the best croissants you've had, within a 2 minute stroll.
Who Will Enjoy staying here?
Recent guests have included groups of families with young children (perfect for two or three couples plus kids!) as well as a 40th birthday party - a bunch of friends (singles and couples) who made the most of the markets and country walks in the area.
Le Manoir de Valentine is for you if you love a combination of exploring rural France and relaxing at the house. Think: down time by the pool, in the garden, or on our library's comfy couches... but also easy to get out and have adventures.
Be it exploring cute mountainside villages (meeting the goats who make the cheese you're stocking the larder with!), meandering around fresh food markets, vintage stalls, cooking or eating out French style... or getting active and kayaking in the Garonne river (fine for beginners too!), cycling, hiking in the foothills or the high mountains... or staying home and playing 'boules' with a glass of rose as the sun goes down.
Got kids? We've got it covered. There's plenty for them to do in the area, even before you've left the house - last year's younger visitors loved the garden, pool and games we've stocked up in a cupboard for them making it that much easier for you ;).
Best of all, this isn't "package tourism" France - it is a unique house at the edge of a real working village so you get a feel for everyday life. Yet close the front gates and you have your own private retreat with everything you need.
